Pengaruh Spiritualitas terhadap Empati pada Mahasiswa Kota Surabaya di Era Pandemi Covid-19

Abstract


Spiritualitas dan empati merupakan dua isu menarik untuk dibahas khususnya dalam ranah keilmuan konseling. Hasil-hasil penelitian terbaru menemukan adanya korelasi positif dan negative di antara kedua variabel tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara spiritualitas dan empati pada mahasiswa Kota Surabaya di era pandemic covid-19. Metode survey sacara online digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket Spirituality Assessment Scale (SAS) untuk mengukur spiritualitas dan Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI) untuk mengukur empati. Kedua angket tersebut telah diterjemahkan menjadi versi Bahasa Indonesia dan terbukti valid dan reliabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif antara kedua variabel (sig. 0.000). Hasil penelitian ini bermanfaat bagi keilmuan bimbingan dan konseling di Universitas dalam merumuskan asesmen kebutuhan mahasiswa. Rekomendasi untuk peneliti selanjutnya adalah menguji kaitan antar dimensi pada kedua variabel serta merumuskan strategi konseling berbasis nilai-nilai spiritual untuk meningkatkan empati mahasiswa.
